Pregnancy, Postpartum & Beyond
Supporting you through pregnancy, birth and the transition into motherhood.
Support for you, through every part of this transition.
Pregnancy and becoming a mother can be one of the most meaningful experiences in life — but it can also bring uncertainty, vulnerability, exhaustion and emotions you may not have expected.
At VF Psychology, I offer psychological support to women during pregnancy and throughout the postpartum period — a safe, non-judgmental space to talk about the emotional changes that come with becoming a mother.
You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for support.
I recently became a mother myself.
Recently, I became a mother myself to a beautiful baby girl. Becoming a mother has given me a new personal perspective on just how profound this transition can be. Alongside the love and joy, there can also be exhaustion, uncertainty, changes in identity, sleepless nights, new responsibilities and a completely different family dynamic.
It has reminded me that becoming a mother isn’t simply about welcoming a baby into the family — it is also about becoming a new version of yourself.
Every mother’s experience is different, and my own experience does not replace my professional training. But it has deepened my empathy and understanding for the emotional complexity of this period of life. You deserve a space where all of those feelings can be spoken about openly.
You may be experiencing…
- Anxiety or constant worry during pregnancy
- Fear about childbirth or becoming a mother
- Feeling overwhelmed by the changes ahead
- Changes in your identity and sense of self
- Guilt about not feeling the way you expected to
- Pressure to be the “perfect” mother
- Persistent sadness, irritability or feeling disconnected
- Sleep deprivation and emotional exhaustion
- Feeling like you have “lost yourself”
- Birth experiences that were difficult or traumatic
- Feeling isolated or alone
- Balancing motherhood with work, relationships and your own needs
You don’t have to be struggling “enough” to seek support.
Psychological support isn’t only for when something is seriously wrong. Sometimes you simply need a place to pause, process what is happening, and make sense of everything that has changed. Therapy can be a space to understand your emotions, develop practical strategies, strengthen your sense of self, and navigate this new chapter with greater confidence.
This is a space for you.
Not just for the baby
When a baby arrives, attention naturally shifts towards the baby’s needs — but the mother needs care too. Your thoughts, your emotions, your sleep, your relationships and your identity all matter. This is a space where you can come as you are, without judgement, expectations or the pressure to have everything figured out.
If you’re an international mother
Becoming a mother while living away from your country, family or familiar support system can bring an additional layer of complexity — motherhood without grandparents nearby, a different healthcare system, missing your usual community, or building a new support network. We can explore these experiences together and find ways to help you feel more supported and grounded.
You don’t have to do motherhood perfectly. You don’t have to enjoy every moment. You don’t have to have all the answers. And you don’t have to go through this transition alone. Let’s make space for you, too.

No. Psychological support isn’t only for when something is seriously wrong. Sometimes you simply need a place to pause, process what is happening, and make sense of everything that has changed.
Not at all. I offer support during pregnancy and throughout the postpartum period — before, during and after this transition, for as long as it feels helpful.
